DETROIT - The Wayne State University volleyball program is proud to sponsor two special events in conjunction with this weekend's home matches against Saginaw Valley State and Lake Superior State.
As October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Warriors will be wearing pink jerseys to commemorate the event and participate in the initiative to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.
Fans can also purchase keychains at the matches for $5 each, with all proceeds benefitting the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
Saturday, October 4 is also Volleyball Alumni Day in conjunction with WSU's 90th anniversary celebration. All Wayne State volleyball alumni are invited to return to the Matthaei for the match as well as a special reception held afterward.
Wayne State will face SVSU on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and Lake Superior State on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Admission is free to all WSU volleyball events.
