Wayne State University senior pitcher Molly Yetman (Cambridge, Ont.) has been selected to the 2008 Louisville/Slugger NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) All-America Third Team.

Yetman was also a Third Team All-America selection following the 2007 season.

In 2008, she set a WSU single-season record with 28 wins while recording the second-highest one-year strikeout total with 265 (set the school mark in 2007 with 300 strikeouts). Yetman limited opposing batters to a .147 average in over 203 innings. She recorded 10 shutouts by herself, and shared another three with Nicole Abel.

Wayne State had a 35-18 overall record including a GLIAC co-regular season champion mark of 16-4. WSU finished second in the GLIAC tournament and placed third at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional last week. The Warriors went 2-2 on the year against the top two teams at the regional (Ferris State and SIU-Edwardsville, the defending national champions).
