Evanston, Ill. - The Wayne State University women's fencing squad compiled a 4-1 record on the first day of the 2008 Northwestern Duals on Saturday.
The Warriors defeated Cal State-Fullerton (22-5), Cal Tech (24-3), Johns Hopkins (14-13) and Farleigh Dickinson (22-5), but lost to Penn State (21-6).
WSU will participate in six dual meets on Sunday. Individual records for the weekend will be posted with the Sunday recap.
