 Saleh FInishes 34th at Iona Meet of Champions |

The Wayne State University men's cross country squad finished 16th out of 24 teams at the Iona Meet of Champions on Saturday at Van Cortlandt Park in Bronx, New York.
Abdullah Saleh (Dearborn, Mich.), Nick Krol (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.), Kevin deBear (Plymouth, Mich.), Chris Tassen (Troy, Mich.) and Vince Bechard (Dearborn, Mich.) combined for 478 points. Saleh was the first Warrior to cross the finish line running a 25:28 and placing 34th out of 224 competitors. Krol ran a time of 27:05 and finished 140th, while deBear finished 150th (27:14).
Teammates Sam Breen (Brownstown, Mich.) and Dan Kapadia (Canton, Mich.) crossed the finish line together. Breen finished 169th (27:28) while Kapadia finished 170th (27:29).
The WSU men's cross country team will continue competition two weeks from today on October 3 at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The race is scheduled to begin at 2:10 p.m.
