#43 Men's Tennis Downed by #42 Grand Valley at NCAA Regional, 5-2

For the second time this season, the #43 Wayne State men's tennis team fell to conference and in-state rival, #42 Grand Valley State University, 5-2, Friday afternoon in the first round of the NCAA Division II Championships held on the campus of Drury University. (more)

#43 Men's Tennis Headed to 2008 NCAA Division II Championships

For the second consecutive season, the #43 Wayne State men's tennis team is headed to the NCAA Division II Championships. The Warriors will travel to the campus of Drury University in Springfield, Mo. for a first round date with conference and in-state rival, #42 Grand Valley State University on Friday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m. (more)

Four Men's Tennis Players Earn All-GLIAC Honors

Four members of the Wayne State men's tennis team received All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) honors as voted by the league coaches. Sophomore Antoine Marenaud (Bordeaux, France/Camille Jullian) and freshman Johan Maubacq (Bussy St. Georges, France) were First Team All-GLIAC selections while senior Donavon Mitchell (Detroit, Mich./Mumford) was named to the Second Team. Senior Alejandro Gomez (Comitan Chiapas, Mexico/Instituto Moderno Comitan) also received Honorable Mention. (more)
