MIDLAND, Mich. - The final remaining members of the Wayne State University men's tennis team completed play on day two of the 2007 Wilson/ITA Great Lakes Regional hosted by Northwood University at the Midland Tennis Center.

After recording victories over Brian Anderson of Ferris State, 6-1, 6-2 and Patryk Polus of Grand Valley, 6-1, 6-4, on the first day of competition (Sept. 21), sophomore and No. 9 seed Antoine Marenaud (Bordeaux, France) fell, 6-4, 6-3, to No. 5 seed Christoph Burger of Southern Indiana in the round of 16 on Saturday morning.

No. 8 seed Johan Maubacq was also upset by No. 14 seed Tony Dang of Grand Valley, 6-2, 7-5, in round of 16 action after notching a 6-1, 6-1 first round win over Steve Fox of Findlay and second round victory over Grand Valley's Leon Cerdena, 6-0, 6-1 (Sept. 21).

The team will not be in action until March 19, 2008 when the Warriors open conference play at home against the University of Findlay.
