Kalamazoo, Mich. - The Wayne State men's tennis team (0-2) lost, 7-2, at No. 13 Kalamazoo College (4-1). The Hornets won five of six singles matches and two of three doubles. Wayne State's Alejandro Gomez (Comitan Chiapas, Mexico/Instituto Moderno Comitan) was the lone Warrior victorious in singles play as he defeated Luke Marker, 3-2, retired, in the No. 3 spot.

Ryan Buck (Shelby Twp., Mich./Utica) lost a three-set match (2-6, 6-3, 10-5) in No. 5 singles to Tim Hubbord.

The only Wayne State doubles team to win was the No. 1 team of Donovan Mitchell (Detroit, Mich./Mumford) and Antoine Marenaud (Bordeaux, France/Camille Jullien). The duo defeated Jason Brown and Alec Kempster, 9-7, and are 2-0 on the young season.

The Warriors will rest until their Florida trip from March 9-14. The first match will be against Sacred Heart on March 9 at 1:00 p.m.
