DETROIT - Wayne State University head golf coach Mike Horn announced the schedule for the upcoming 2008-09 season, which begins Sept. 5-6 at Northern Michigan.
The first of three Great Lakes Regional events will take place Sept. 21-22 at HawksHead in South Haven, Mich. Grand Valley State will host its invitational the following weekend, Sept. 27-28.
Saginaw Valley State will host the 2008 GLIAC Championship Oct. 5-6 at Bay City Country Club.
In the spring, following an invitational Mar. 28-29 at Ashland, Wayne State will play in a second Great Lakes Regional at Cherry Blossom in Georgetown, Ky. The Warriors will participate in the Northwood Invitational the next weekend before traveling to Noblesville, Ind., for the third and final regional Apr. 19-20 at Purgatory.
Aside from competition, the Warriors will host a 90 Foundation Golf Outing on Monday, Sept. 29, at Edgewood Country Club in Commerce Township.
