FINDLAY, Ohio - Through 36 holes at the GLIAC Championship, the Wayne State golf team is in fourth place with a score of 589 (295-294), 13 over par and nine strokes behind Ashland University, at Findlay Country Club.

The Eagles' score of 580 (288-292) leads the field, with Ferris State (296-292--588) and Northwood (294-294--588) tied for second. Findlay rounds out the top five (298-292--590).

Freshman Eric Johnson (Marquette, Mich.) is tied for fourth after shooting 145, including a one-under 71 in Monday's second round. Bryan Lynch (White Lake, Mich./Lakeland) is two strokes behind Johnson in a tie for eighth (74-73--147).

Ryan Johnson (New Boston, Mich./Huron) carded a 148 (75-73) to tie for 13th, while Brett Hudson (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Orchard Lake St. Mary's) is tied for 24th (72-79--151) and Joe Juszczyk (Dearborn Heights, Mich./Divine Child) is tied for 35th (77-77--154).

The GLIAC Championship will conclude with an 18-hole round beginning Tuesday morning. Fans can follow the action live via Golfstat.
