Former Wayne State University pitcher Anthony Bass has continued the form that made him an All-American this past spring.

Bass struck out the side in the top of the ninth in a 9-5 Eugene win over Vancouver on August 20. In his last 10 appearances, he has a 1-1 record with two saves and an ERA of 0.84. Bass has allowed seven hits in 10.2 innings with 14 strikeouts to five walks. His loss came despite not allowing an earned run because of a fielding error by the shortstop.

For the season, Bass is 2-1 with a 1.63 ERA in 20 appearances. Opponents are batting .180 and he has 34 strikeouts in 27.2 innings along with four saves.

Euguene has 13 games remaining including a home contest tonight vs. Vancouver.
