DETROIT - Wayne State University junior utility player Adam Kaminski (Clinton Twp., Mich./Mt. Clemens) has been named to the Daktonics, Inc. All-America Honoroable Mention team as voted upon by Division II sports information directors.
Kaminski is the first WSU baseball player to receive All-America recognition since Kenneth Hasshaw and Kevin Ponticelli in 1978.
Playing in 42 games primarily at first base, Kaminski batted .371, second-best on the Warrior squad, while chipping in 11 doubles, 30 RBI, and a .492 slugging percentage. He also posted a .990 fielding percentage, making just two errors all year.
Kaminski also served as Wayne State's closer, notching three saves and 23 strikeouts in 14.0 innings to go with a staff-low 1.93 earned run average.
