Assistant coach Ryan Kelley is in his second season on the Warriors' staff. It is Kelley's first coaching stint at the collegiate level. His coaching experience ranges from youth to high school league ages.
Most recently, Kelley was the graduate assistant coach at Standford University in the fall of 2003. He also served as a camp instructor at The University of Michigan (1996-2002) and at Wayne State University. He has done individual instruction at the Players Edge in Orchard Lake, Mich., working with high school pitchers. He was a one time assistant with Ann Arbor Pioneer High School's varsity squad.
Originally from Northville, Mich., Kelley was a four year pitcher at The University of Michigan (1996-1999). He would help the Wolverines win the 1997 Big Ten Championship and the 1999 Big Ten Tournament Championship. Following the 1997 season, Kelley was a pitcher in the Alaskan Central Collegiate baseball league for the Mat-Su Minors.
Kelley played high school ball at Dearborn Divine Child where he earned all-state and honorable mention preseason All-American honors.
After earning a bachelor of science degree at Michigan, Kelley is currently pursuing his master's degree at Wayne State University in the sports administration graduate program. He completed a graduate assistant position with the Detroit Lions and has worked in Wayne State's sports information department.
Kelley is single and resides in Madison Heights.
